HKSAR SMART IDENTITY CARD ISSUE
According to the Hong Kong SAR’s current law, holders of old-versioned Identity Cards who cannot have their Identity Cards replaced during the specified call-up periods due to their absence from Hong Kong should apply within 30 days upon their return to Hong Kong.
Besides, the invalidation of old-versioned Identity Cards will not affect the holder's right of abode in Hong Kong. Any Hong Kong residents living in Vietnam who still keep their old-versioned Identity Cards, when applying for Hong Kong SAR’s passports at the Consulate General in Hochiminh City, the “Application for Overseas Permanent Identity Card†can be submitted at the same time.

- ROP143 (applicable for applicants aged from 18)
- ROP144 (for applicants below 18 years old)
